A check of midstate law enforcement agencies shows no major weather problems early this morning following a late winter snow storm Sunday.
According to authorities in Bibb, Houston, Peach, Putnam, Baldwin, Monroe, Twiggs and Jones counties roads appear to be clear although slick spots are possible on bridges and overpasses.
Some trees were down Sunday night on Ga. 87 in Monroe County but roads are clear right now.
Puddles line the roads in some locations and could freeze if the temperature drops. Motorists are urged to use caution.
Macon-Bibb Emergency Management Agency director Johnny Wingers said temperatures did not drop as anticipated.
According to weather reports Wingers said he expected a temperature of 26 at 5 a.m. but it was 33 degrees. It could fall below freezing by sunrise he said.
"It could probably be a little slick at about 7 a.m.," said Wingers who had been awake for more than 27 hours. "It's been a long night."
