3 charged in attempted armed robbery at Peach flea market

FORT VALLEY — Two teenagers were charged Wednesday morning with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery of Lulu’s Flea Market at 5234 U.S. 341, police said.

Joshua Bass, 18, of Bonaire, and a 16-year-old Fort Valley male were arrested at the flea market after the business owner called 911 to report someone was trying to break in at 1:50 a.m., Peach County Sheriff Terry Deese said.

Peach County sheriff’s deputies and Fort Valley police officers arrived to find the two still at the door of the business trying to get in, Deese said. Both were carrying steel pipes, he said. Tabitha Hannor, 29, of Perry, who was later identified as the alleged getaway driver, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and also charged with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, the sheriff said.
