Two people were shot about 7 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station located at the corner of Shurling Drive and New Clinton Road, according to the Macon police.
Sgt. Melanie Hofmann said 24-year-old Lavar Garrett and 24-year-old Jerico Oliver, both of Macon were inside a teal-colored Chevrolet Impala with another unidentified 22-year-old man when someone in a black Honda fired shots at the vehicle.
Oliver was shot in the upper torso and was listed in critical condition Monday night at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Hofmann said.
Garrett was shot in the foot and was listed in stable condition, she said.
Hofmann said detectives were talking to the unidentified 22-year-old man who was inside the car with Oliver and Garrett.
No information regarding a motive for the shooting has been released.
