A standoff at a private residence between a wanted man and the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon.
At first deputies believed they had a hostage situation on their hands when they responded at about 2 p.m. but it turned out to be more of a domestic incident, said Chief Deputy Billy Boney.
"We extracted two people from the house before we talked him out," Boney said.
Investigators are tracking down warrants on the man whose identity was not immediately released.
The Twiggs County Sheriff's Office plans to release more details Thursday morning.
