Macon radio station to continue broadcasting Georgia Tech games

Georgia Tech and International Sports Properties (ISP) announced Tuesday that Macon FM radio station WQMJ, also known as “Majic 100.1,” will continue broadcasting Yellow Jackets football and men’s basketball games for at least the next three years.

According to a release from the Atlanta school, the extension is part of an existing agreement with the station, and it will give Georgia Tech athletics an even larger radio presence in the Middle Georgia area.

“We are excited about the opportunity to extend our six-year relationship with ISP and Georgia Tech,” WQMJ-FM general manager Michael Roberts said in the release. “Majic 100 is honored to remain the exclusive home of Georgia Tech football and basketball in Macon, Forsyth and all of Middle Georgia.”

The renewed deal reportedly begins this fall, when the station broadcasts Yellow Jackets football.
