Wind advisory posted with high fire danger today

Winds gusting to up to 35 miles per hour could whip wildfires out of control.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until 5 p.m. today as sustained winds are expected to reach 30 miles per hour.

A red flag warning is also in effect from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. due to low humidity and the strong gusts that mean high fire danger in the state. The fire danger is expected to remain high through Thursday evening.
