Body discovered near train tressel on MLK Boulevard in Macon

Macon police at the Bibb County coroner's office are investigating the discovery of a body on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Elm Street.

Coroner Leon Jones said there was no sign of obvious foul play in the case.

"He looked like he was just walking down the sidewalk and fell over dead," Jones said.

The body has been removed to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.

Mercer police found the body of a black male with no identification on the sidewalk at about 5 a.m.
