What's up for bid at Big House auction

The Big House Foundation will host its 2009 Revival on Saturday at the Armory Ballroom, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $1,000 for a full table, $500 for a half-table and $50 for an individual ($60 the day of the show.) Megan North will perform during the cocktail hour, and Scott Baston and the News Architects will open for Mike Ferris. For more information about the show, contact the Big House at (478) 742-5005.

In addition to the dinner, there will be both a live and a silent auction. Among the items up for the live auction are:

Ÿ 2008 Allman Brothers Band Instant Live Summer Set in a beautiful wooden box with signature logo burnished in gold. It’s a 22-CD set of all the live performances by the band in 2008, autographed by the band members.

Ÿ Original oil painting of the band by world-renowned artist Steve Penley, done exclusively for this event.

Ÿ ABB autographed Gibson 335 guitar.

Ÿ All-expenses paid trip for two to New York City for the Allman Brothers Band show at the Beacon Theatre, including limo service, plane tickets, hotel and concert tickets.

Ÿ Signed vintage Charlie Daniels 1982 Volunteer Jam VIII extra-large tour jacket, including a letter of authenticity, plus “Charlie Daniels Band Live” DVD, an autographed picture of Daniels and a copy of his book, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia.”
