Hit-and-run driver sought in Macon pedestrian accident | Video

Macon police are looking for the driver who hit a woman on Crescent Avenue this morning and failed to stop.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m., the injured woman knocked on the door of a house at the corner of Crescent and Hillcrest avenues and asked the woman inside to call police.

Police officer William Barron said they are looking for the young male driver of a brown compact car, possibly a Honda Accord, who struck the woman and drove off.

The woman, whose identity was not released, did not appear to have suffered visible injuries, Barron said.

An ambulance crew took her to The Medical Center of Central Georgia to be examined.
