Motorists should avoid Interstate 75 northbound between Pio Nono Avenue and Hardeman Avenue in Macon as wreckage is cleared from a four-vehicle accident.
Although traffic has been moving slowly, wreckers are needed to clear the disabled cars involved in the wreck.
Macon police traffic officer Donald Johnson said three people were hurt and one was transported to The Medical Center of Central Georgia following the 7:30 a.m. accident.
Witness reports indicate an empty log truck was traveling north in the right lane and shifted into the center lane to avoid traffic backing up at the Hardeman Avenue exit ramp, Johnson said.

The Freightliner 18-wheeler clipped a white Chevy Malibu that spun into the path of a black Mercedes sedan that hit another black Mercedes sedan before spinning into the concrete barrier in the median, Johnson said.
Authorities estimate it will be 9:30 a.m. until all the vehicles are removed from the highway.
