High fire danger prompts warning

Winds gusting to 20 miles per hour could whip up wildfires in the dry brush.

The National Weather Service has posted a red flag warning from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. today due to high fire danger.

The middle and southern portion of Georgia is affected south of a line from La Grange to Warrenton.

The warning area includes the Oconee National Forest.
