Macon man sentenced to 20 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter

A Macon man was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison this morning after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the June 10 murder of a Pleasant Hill man.

Rodreagus Octavie Roberson, 31, of Amos Street, entered his plea this morning in Bibb County Superior Court.

He fatally shot and pistol-whipped Reese McCoy Jr. at McCoy's Brief Street home following an argument between McCoy and Roberson's mother, said Assistant Bibb County District Attorney Elizabeth Bobbitt.
