A tornado warning for the Macon area has been canceled.
The severe thunderstorm that rapidly ignited and indicated possible rotation shortly after 4 a.m. weakened and is no longer suspected to be producing a tornado.
A warning was issued for Bibb County and parts of northern Houston and Peach counties.
The National Weather Service warns that strong winds gusting up to 45 miles per hour are still possible along with heavy rain and small hail.
