Macon man killed in head on collision

A Macon man was killed Thursday night when he drove across the center line of Forsyth Road in Macon.

Gregory Yates, 37, was pronounced dead at The Medcial Center of Central Georgia shortly after the 9:40 p.m. accident, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

Yates was traveling westbound in front of the Kroger shopping center near Wesleyan College when he hit a Honda Accord driven by Kelvin Stanley of Macon, the release stated.

Stanley and his passenger were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are trying to determine what caused the accident.
