Winds gusting to 30 miles per hour are expected today in Middle Georgia prompting the National Weather service to issue a wind advisory from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
A cold front moving across the state will bring the strong winds which are expected to reach up to 40 miles per hour in the higher terrain of north Georgia.
The windy and dry conditions also enacted a red flag warning for today due to the high fire danger in the state.
