Reynolds man hurt when van overturns in Crawford County

A Reynolds man was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia after flipping his van this morning on Hamlin Road in Crawford County.

William Scott Rowell, 50, was hurt after he lost control in a curve and his 1995 Ford Econoline van overturned, said Trooper Mark Glover of the Georgia State Patrol post in Thomaston.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident that happened at about 7:30 a.m. in a curve in the road.

"The gentleman entered the curve and it appears the right front wheel bearing broke and he lost control," Glover said.

The vehicle was smoking when emergency crews arrived but the van did not catch fire, Glover said.
