Macon police caught an armed robbery suspect Monday night minutes after two gunmen held up the Bloomfield Grocery shortly before 9 p.m.
Brandon Sidney, 18, of Brownley Road in Forsyth, is charged with armed robbery after police chased him down, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
An officer from Precinct 4 was flagged down as the robbers were running from the store at 4175 Bloomfield Road but one of the gunmen got away, the release stated.
At about 8:50 p.m. two gunmen with bandannas over their faces forced employees to the floor of the store and took money from the cash register before fleeing on foot.
