Armed robbers hit Waffle House in downtown Macon

Macon police are looking for two armed robbers who held up the Waffle House at 840 Riverside Drive early this morning.

At about 2:50 a.m. the robbers, who had bandannas over their faces, entered the restaurant and took cash and robbed two patrons, said Sgt. Kenneth Smith.

The robbers left in an unknown direction after ordering the customers and employees to the ground, according to a police report.
