Two people killed when motorcycle hits deer in midstate

Two people died Sunday evening when their motorcycle hit a deer in Macon County.

At about 5:20 p.m. a deer ran in front of Thomas Allan Zabel's motorcycle at about a half-mile south of Marshallville on Ga. 49, said Cadet William Wood of the Georgia State Patrol post in Perry.

Zabel, 45, of Marshallville was thrown from the motorcycle along with Adonna Woodrff, 50, of Reynolds. Both were killed along with the deer, Wood said.
