Details of Go Fish Georgia facilities planned for Perry on display at Ga. Chamber of Commerce luncheon

Renderings of the Go Fish Georgia main facilities planned for Perry were on display Thursday at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce's Congressional Luncheon at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry.

Some details, from Department of Natural Resources Communications Manager Robin Hill and John Biagi, the chief of fisheries: The project is still being designed. They hope to break ground this year.

One campus will be located adjacent to the Miller-Murphy-Howard Building at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. Another facility, with hatching ponds, is planned for the corner of South Perry Parkway and Larry Walker Parkway.

Together, those two sites will cost about $23 million. About $14 million of that will come from the state, and the DNR is working now to raise the rest.
