Two arrested in connection with fatal house fire; police looking for third suspect

Police have released the names of two people arrested this morning in connection with a Monday arson that killed two young boys.

Macon police spokeswoman Sgt. Melanie Hofmann said 36-year-old Anthony Desean Braswell of Chambers Road and 27-year-old Latoshia Yvette Wyche of Moore Street were arrested at 5:30 a.m. today.

Both are charged with two counts of felony murder and one count of arson, she said.

Braswell is additionally charged with violation of parole, Hofmann said.

Braswell and Wyche are being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond, according to jail records.

Police are searching for a third person, 33-year-old Shauntrice Murray, Hofmann said.

When arrested, Hofmann said Murray will be charged with two counts of felony murder and arson.

The fire, which started at about 4 a.m. Monday at 417 Moseley Ave., destroyed the house and was ignited with a flammable liquid, according to the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department.

Because the children, Hezekiah Harris, 2, and Tydarious Harris, 4, died as a result of the arson, their deaths have been ruled as homicides.
