President Bush will travel to Atlanta later this month to raise money for retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Rick Goddard's congressional campaign, Goddard said today.
The White House has not announced the president's schedule that far in advance, but Goddard said the president will attend a private July 22 fundraiser at a home in Buckhead, an upscale part of Atlanta.
This would be the second big presidential score in Goddard's campaign to unseat U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall, D-Ga. Vice President Dick Cheney visited Middle Georgia last month for a Goddard fundraiser.
