Macon police are looking for the gunman who shot a man this afternoon in the 600 block of Reese Street in the Fort Hill neighborhood of east Macon.
At about 12:30 p.m., Hollis Hunt was walking down the street when a man in a vacant lot fired three gun shots with one hitting Hunt, said Sgt. Jim MacDonald of the Macon Police Department.
An ambulance took Hunt to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with what did not appear to be a life-threatening wound to the leg, police said.
An off-duty police lieutenant who happened to be in the area chased the suspect across Emery Highway but the gunman got away, MacDonald said.
