Third Street Park festivities moved to Terminal Station

Due to rain, today's Founders Day Celebration and Third Street Park Festivities have been to Terminal Station in downtown Macon.

Today from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., the festival will honor William A. Fickling Sr., the man who discovered the first Yoshino cherry tree in Macon, and Carolyn Crayton, the founder of the Cherry Blossom Festival.

A Wal-Mart cake will be served at 11:30 and visitors can enjoy concerts and performances, free soft drinks from Coca-Cola and Cherries and Cream ice cream from Dairyland Inc.

Also, enjoy complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides. Free. Presented by Wachovia Bank.
