Warner Robins SunTrust robbed this afternoon

Warner Robins police are investigating a robbery today at the SunTrust branch located 1903 Watson Boulevard, near the intersection of Watson and Houston Road.

The robbery happened at 3:53 p.m., according to Detective Sgt. Scott McSwain of the Warner Robins Police Department. A man wearing a gray sweatshirt, described as in his 30s with blondish-brown hair, walked into bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled on foot toward Houston Road.

No one was injured. One customer was in the bank at the time of the incident. The man indicated he had a gun, but no weapon was visible, according to McSwain.

Police are currently reviewing the bank's video surveillance tapes.
