The decomposing body found Monday afternoon in a Toombs Street duplex has been identified as an 18-year-old Danville woman.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said the woman has been identified as April Nesmith.
He said full autopsy results that would include the cause of Nesmith's death won't be available until Wednesday due to the severe decomposition of the body.
Macon police officers responded to a call of a strong odor coming from the duplex, located in the 1000 block of Toombs Street at about 3 p.m. Monday.
