Brian Duane Brookins was sentenced to death this morning for killing his wife and her teenage daughter.
Jurors returned their verdict about 10 a.m. after almost eight hours of deliberations over two days.
The verdict was unanimous, condemning the 36-year-old to death row for the murders of his wife, 44-year-old Suzanne Brookins, and her 15-year-old daughter, Samantha Giles, on Oct. 14, 2005.
On Saturday, Brookins was convicted of the slayings.
