Three men have been charged with the 2004 slaying of a 23-year-old Eatonton man, authorities said.
Police found the body of Cornellius Latrevior Lowe on a dirt path in Eatonton on Feb. 5, 2004, according to Tom Davis, special agent in charge of the GBI office in Milledgeville. An autopsy showed that he died from several gunshot wounds.
Charged with murder in the case are three men with Eatonton ties: 24-year-old Joseph "Joe" Andrews of an East Marion Street address, 26-year-old Tremaine Deon "Dick" Calhoun of a Spring Street address, and 27-year-old Billy Randy Davis Jr. of Rainy Drive.
Andrews is being held in Clayton County on unrelated charges, and Davis is in the Laurens County jail on other charges, the agent said. Authorities are still looking for Calhoun.

The case, he said, has been a priority over the years and "was never placed on a back burner."
"Sometimes you get the information you need (in a case) right up front," he said. "Sometimes it takes a lot of digging, interviewing and hours spent" in the field.
The Putnam County grand jury is scheduled to meet Monday, and the case against the three men will probably be presented then, Davis said.
