Someone deliberately set fire to three houses this morning in the Fort Hill neighborhood of east Macon.
Firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Smith Street shortly after 6:15 a.m. where the fronts of three row houses were ablaze.
Training chief Donnie Mercer said it appears some sort of flammable liquid was poured across the front porches to ignite the fires.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames which charred the fronts of the single-story wooden houses but did not spread inside, Mercer said.
