Most loving and gentle Jesus, I thank you for your deep love and understanding of human suffering. You took the road to the cross and suffered more than I can bear to imagine. This proves your love for us and settles the debt for our mountain of sins. Today, I ask for your hand of comfort and your peace that reaches far beyond our understanding to surround our those who are suffering from serious sickness. Jesus, you are our risen Lord. You know our every need. O, how I love you forever and again. In your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen
