Fresh brussels sprouts with garlic butter

Fresh brussels sprouts with garlic butter and bacon bits

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

1 small clove minced garlic

1 quart water

Pinch of salt

20 small fresh brussels sprouts

4 strips bacon, finely diced, cooked until crisp

Makes 4 to 5 servings.

In a small sauce pan, combine butter and garlic. Over medium heat melt butter, stirring, and then set aside.

Boil water with salt. Add brussels sprouts and boil 5 to 8 minutes until they reach the desired softness. Drain and place in serving dish.

Top with garlic butter and bacon bits to taste, then mix to coat evenly.
