Easy baked toffee
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup (packed) light brown sugar
2 1/2 cups finely chopped

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Makes about 60 pieces.
Lightly butter a 9-by-13-inch pan. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Place butter and brown sugar in a heavy, medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in 2 cups of the pecans. Pour into the prepared pan and bake 15 minutes.
Remove toffee from oven and sprinkle with the chocolate chips; when softened, spread them evenly, covering entire surface. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans on top. Let cool completely, then break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
