Macon police have charged a 17-year-old female in the weekend slaying of Ignacio Gabriel Armenta Contreras, 23, whose body was found by a police officer at Allied Industrial Park early Saturday morning.
According to a police news release, the Southeast Regional Task Force arrested Krystal Almaraz of Houston Road in Macon, and charged her with felony murder Tuesday morning. No other details of the arrest were released. Almaraz is currently at the Bibb County jail.
A police report said the officer was patrolling on Mead Road when he saw Contreras lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds at about 4:10 a.m.
Contreras’ shirt had been pulled over his head and his pants had been pulled off.
The police report said there was frost on the victim’s clothing, but Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Tuesday that rigor mortis hadn’t set in, meaning the body couldn’t have been there long.
Jones said Contreras, who lived at a Zebulon Road address, had been shot multiple times, but he wouldn’t say how many, citing the ongoing investigation.
