1 pound fresh mozzarella, sliced 1/4 inch thick2 medium heirloom tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick12 large basil leaves, julienned1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil1/4 cup red wine vinegarSalt and fresh-ground black pepper, to taste

Makes 4 servings.
