Cinnamon-apple tea

2 quarts apple cider

2 family size tea bags

1/2 cup cinnamon candies ("Red Hots")

Serves 6-8.

Bring apple cider to a boil. Add tea bags, cover and let steep 5 minutes only. Lift to remove tea bags and press gently to stop the dripping, but do NOT squeeze (this makes the tea bitter!). Add cinnamon candies and stir to dissolve. Serve hot garnishing each tea cup or mug with a thin slice of apple and a cinnamon stick. This is also delicious served cold. Please. however, refrigerate the tea to chill it first before serving over ice. You know how we Southerners are about our tea; we certainly don't want it diluted!
