Just a real quickie update today, because it's been busy.
One of my favorite TV actresses, Maura Tierney, shows up tonight on "The Office" (NBC, 9 p.m.) as the wife of Robert California (James Spader). The way the show has declined over the last couple of seasons, I'm actually looking forward much more to "Leverage's" parody of "The Office" this Sunday, but there you go. It follows new episdes of "Community" and "Parks & Recreation," and precedes a new "Whitney," which has guest star Chelsea Handler -- whose own sitcom will be replacing "Whitney" in the fall. (It couldn't be any worse). They are followed by "Prime Suspect" at 10 p.m.
Ralph Waite guest stars as Booth's grandfather on "Bones" (Fox, 9 p.m.), following "X-Factor." ABC airs the CMA Country Christmas music special.
On cable, it's the third-to-last "Burn Notice" (USA, 10 p.m.) of the season, with a tie-in to this past summer's "Burn Notice" movie. Also new is "It's Always Sunny" and "The League," which has guest star Will Forte, from 10-11 p.m. on FX.
