FRIDAY AT MOUNT DE SALES ACADEMY

Mount de Sales Academy announces its “Music at the Mount” series, and kicks it off with the folk and country sounds of Logan Brill. This new series of concerts will take place in April, May and June at the school’s Zuver Center Amphitheater. This event is open to the public. All ages. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. $15; $25 with a catered dinner.

FRIDAY AT THE MILL

Ricky Young is a young country singer originally from Columbia, South Carolina, and now living in Nashville. He is blending the lines of country, hip-hop, and rock ’n’ roll, for a sound that many Middle Georgia music listeners are sure to love. His most recent single, “Baby Wussup,” features Georgia hip-hop artist Bubba Sparxxx. 18 and older. 9 p.m. $5.

Daniel Lee

FRIDAY AT THE CRAZY BULL

“It’s not rock. It’s not country. It’s Southern,” is the mantra of Daniel Lee and his band. Lee is signed to Average Joe Entertainment and has been songwriting in Nashville. Lee first came into the spotlight with an appearance on the Colt Ford track, “Thanks For Listening.” Shortly after that, Lee delivered his own album, “Roots,” which debuted at No. 20 on the iTunes New and Noteworthy Albums chart. 18 and older. Doors open at 8 p.m. $5.

Mercer Jazz Ensemble

FRIDAY AT MERCER UNIVERSITY’S FICKLING HALL

The Towsend School of Music presents a night of music in tribute to the legendary jazz pianist Thelonious Monk. Macon’s jazz lovers have recently found many reasons to celebrate, and this is just one more. The Mercer University Jazz Ensemble will take on the piano trickery that so many jazz fans hold in the highest of esteem. All ages. 7:30 p.m. Free.

Particle

TUESDAY AT COX CAPITOL THEATRE

Particle has been gaining steam on the livetronica circuit, playing festivals across the country, including Bonnaroo and Coachella. They are known for their fun, danceable, live sets. Fans will be happy to know that Particle is working hard to finish up a new album that will be released this year. We are very lucky to have them take a break and stop by Macon for this show. Under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Doors open at 8 p.m. $15; $12 with college ID.
