SATURDAY AT THE HUMMINGBIRD STAGE AND TAPROOM
Roots music is such a part of the fabric of Georgia music that it’s not surprising to see young bands taking up the mantle of a sound that many consider to be bygone. Our own Back City Woods is an example of this, blurring the lines between bluegrass and rock to create a sound that is uniquely Southern. They invite along their good friends Radiolucent, the Law Band, Reuben’s Bell, Sailing to Denver and the Rambling Fevers for a showcase of some of the best roots rock to be found today. 18 and up. 6 p.m. $10.

SATURDAY AT TASTE AND SEE COFFEE SHOP
Louise Warren continues to win the Cal Ripken award for Macon singer-songwriters. She’s hard working, very talented and one of Macon’s nicest people. Warren is sure to warm the entire room with her singing and put even grinchiest of listeners in the holiday spirit. All ages. 7 p.m. Free.

All proceeds will benefit local musician Stanley Newman’s cancer treatment. Come rock out for a good cause! 4 p.m. $5 admission includes two slices of pizza.
