FRIDAY AT THE LANIER COURTYARD

Middle Georgia’s Honey Bear is a two-piece, acoustic singer-songwriter outfit featuring the guitar of Daniel Mitchell and the vocals of Joe Simmons. This great First Friday show is being held at the Lanier Courtyard, located at 336 Second St. The Library Ballroom, which is sponsoring the concert, asks that you bring a canned good or a toy as admission. FRIDAY AT ROASTED CAFE AND LOUNGE

Bootz & Katz have been building a following here in Macon with their live-band-meets-electronica style. For this First Friday show, they bring along Rave Matthews and Wulfman for a night of electronic music to benefit Macon Veterans Voices. This Mercer University student-led project aims to publish a literary magazine with short stories and artwork from Middle Georgia veterans and their families. 18 and up. 10 p.m. $3.

SATURDAY AT MUSIC AMBASSADORS

The Macon Music Ambassadors bring well known musicians to Macon and put them in an intimate setting in the College Hill Corridor -- this time at 1483 Oglethorpe St. -- for an acoustic house show. This gives you an opportunity to get up close to some of your favorite musicians. For this show, the Ambassadors bring Mike Cooley of the Drive-By Truckers. Seating is very limited. SATURDAY AT THE SHRINER TEMPLE

The Corner Concerts series has been putting together some great live shows at some very interesting places. For this show at the Shriner Temple on Poplar Street, they put together a lineup with New Madrid, White Violet and 100 Watt Horse for a night of indie-rock music in a beautiful, historic setting. MONDAY AT COX CAPITOL THEATRE

DJ Bruce Wonder has been entertaining crowds worldwide. This summer he spent the weeks before the World Cup soccer tournament warming up fans in Brazil as he toured the country. Now back home in Macon, he hasn’t missed a beat and will play at the fourth annual Moonhangers Ball. This is the official Christmas party for the crews of H&H, Dovetail, the Cox Capitol Theatre and the Rookery. Come celebrate the season with your favorite servers, cooks and bartenders. 21 and up. 8 p.m. Free.
