Gig Guide

FRIDAY AT ROASTED CAFE AND LOUNGE

Skymatic makes electronic music with a live violin, guitar and keyboards. This creative form of electronica produces a very melodic style of music. They will be joined by two of Macon’s best DJs in the electronic game. Wet Paint blurs the lines between electronic, reggae and hip-hop, while Rhett Squirrelly slides in and out of bass heavy styles. 18 and up. 10 p.m. Free.

FRIDAY AT THE JULIETTE OPRY IN JULIETTE

The Trinity River Band hails from Callahan, Florida. Their bluegrass/acoustic roots style has been crafted during their six years of playing together. In those short six years, they have gained fans nationwide, and their tour schedule has them visiting every stretch of this great land. SATURDAY AT THE HUMMINGBIRD STAGE AND TAPROOM

We are in the giving season and nobody gives better than Macon’s music community! Some of the biggest names in the local music scene are donating their talent for a night that will benefit the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. SATURDAY AT THE BACK PORCH LOUNGE

Do you like your rock ’n’ roll, hard, heavy and loud? Well then, you should probably start paying attention to what’s going on over at the Back Porch Lounge. They have been building quite the following for fans of hard core, metal and punk. This line up includes the Riggs, Above Repute, 5 O’Clock Devil and Taped Fist. 21 and up. 8 p.m. Free.

SATURDAY AT ROASTED CAFE AND LOUNGE

You can easily make the argument that right now Bruce Wonder is Macon’s favorite DJ. His blends of hip-hop, old school soul and R&B, rock ’n’ roll, ’80s and more can sometimes be downright dumbfounding -- leading to uncontrollable shouting and dancing. This night of music and dancing will benefit local charities. For ages 18 and up. 10 p.m. Admission is $3 or free with a non-perishable food item.
