Greatest contribution of Navicent Health to Middle Georgia
A nationally recognized healthcare provider and one of the chief employers in the area, Navicent Health plays a vital role in Central Georgia’s economic growth. We contributed more than $1.4 billion in revenue to our state economy in 2012 while sustaining 11,000 full time jobs. Our award-winning, specialized healthcare services draw people to our region and also assist in securing new businesses and industries for Central Georgia.
Why education is such a powerful, life-changing tool.
I am the daughter of two educators who believed in the power of education. As such, I am a lifelong learner and a proponent of higher education. While it may sound cliché, knowledge is power. Those who receive a proper education, particularly higher education, improve their own lives, the lives of their family members, and improve their communities as a whole. Education is vital for the creation of strong, successful communities.

My hope for Education Together.
I believe Education Together will inspire local students to pursue dreams they may not have believed were achievable. We are letting students in our region know they can dream of big futures and we will provide them with the tools necessary to achieve those dreams. My hope is that this program will give students confidence in themselves and a desire to pursue their ambitions.
How I will define the success of Education Together.
One of the primary challenges we face regionally is access to a vibrant workforce equipped with the specialized skills needed to meet the needs of our industries. At Navicent, our desire is to hire candidates raised and educated here at home. In ten years I would like to say, “Here is a student we helped and this is how she is contributing to her field. Or here is a student we assisted and look at what he has done for himself and for our community.” Our success will be determined by the success of each individual we support.
