A number of high school basketball games involving Middle Georgia teams have been affected by winter weather in the northern part of the state.
Wednesday's GHSA Class AAA boys basketball playoff game between Rutland and Cedar Grove has been postponed to 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Stratford's Class A private school playoff game at Greenforest Christian will now take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Cedar Grove Middle School in Decatur.
In Class AAAA, Upson-Lee's boys game at Carrollton has been pushed back to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
In Class A public, the Wilkinson County-Hancock Central game will now take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Also, the GISA has pushed back its entire slate of first-round boys playoff games to Thursday.
Boys games still on for Wednesday evening, as of 10 a.m. Wednesday morning: Jones County at Brunswick, Pace Academy at Vidalia, Thomasville at Crawford County, Dooly County at Calhoun County and Turner County at Treutlen.
For a few hours Wednesday, the GHSA pushed back Friday's Class AA semifinals to Monday. Since all of the Class AA games are on track to be completed Wednesday evening, however, the GHSA reversed course Wednesday afternoon and moved the Class AA semifinals back to Friday. Those games will be at Columbus State.
