Crawford County rolled to a 41-7 win over Mount Vernon Presbyterian on Friday night, snapping a 43-game losing streak.
The school administration decided to play a non-region schedule in 2014 to help re-boot the program, making the Eagles ineligible for the playoffs. Not many were likely upset by that decision on Friday night.
The Eagles last won on Oct. 9, 2009, beating Jordan 24-12. Only five times during the 43-game losing streak did the Eagles lost by fewer than 10 points, and they lost their final four games last year by a combined score of 203-0.
