Georgia offensive lineman Sage Hardin has decided to take a medical disqualification and retire from football.
Hardin announced this decision on social media, saying that it comes with a “heavy heart.”
Hardin was rehabbing an injured leg sustained during spring practice. Hardin wrote that his goal is to be able to love a healthy life once he is healed from his most recent injury.
“My hope with this decision is that one day I will be able to experience simple everyday activities once more, limit the long-term ramifications that have already occurred, and successfully ‘walk’ away from football,” Hardin wrote.
