Brice Ramsey hasn’t been working with the quarterbacks the past two days during the open portion of practice, and instead has and been solely with the special teams unit.
It’s possible he’s getting into the punting mix, considering he is the backup at that position. But on Wednesday, it was noticeable that Ramsey was sporting a wrap around his right hand. Perhaps the wrap is why he was unable to work with the quarterbacks and throw the football.
With the special teams group, Ramsey practiced a lot of punts and even got in some field goal work off of a tee.
He and punter Marshall Long held field goal tries for both William Ham and Rodrigo Blankenship.
Ramsey is Georgia’s third-string quarterback and was beaten out at the position by Jacob Eason and Greyson Lambert. Ramsey ended last season as Georgia’s starting punter and averaged 41.9 yards per punt.
