Georgia inside linebacker Reggie Carter will miss the remainder of the season following surgery to his shoulder, head coach Mark Richt confirmed on Sunday.
Carter appeared in one game this season, which came against Vanderbilt in Week 2. He dressed out against Southern last week but did not log a snap. He wasn't spotted on the sideline for Saturday's 38-10 loss to Alabama.
Dawgs247's Jake Rowe was the first to report the story.
"He had a repair of his shoulder," Richt said.
Never miss a local story.
Carter totaled two tackles in his only game action against the Commodores. Carter, a junior, will likely be eligible for a medical redshirt if he decides to take one.
