Georgia head coach Mark Richt said three Georgia players sustained injuries during Saturday’s loss to Alabama.
Center Brandon Kublanow suffered a lower leg injury, which is why he was replaced by backup Hunter Long during the second half. Kublanow was seen limping a bit on the sideline.
“It was bothering him, and he just couldn’t push off,” Richt said. “We felt like he couldn’t get a lot of movement up front. We felt like we needed to get a guy who was healthy in there. He was just gutting it out, Kublanow was.”
Richt also said receiver Isaiah McKenzie appeared to injure his hamstring. He didn’t say how severe either injury is.
Safety Dominick Sanders left the game during the second half, but told Richt afterward that he’ll be fine. Richt hadn’t spoken with director of sports medicine Ron Courson about Sanders’ status when he met with the media following the game.
