Even with Alabama losing to Mississippi this past Saturday, CBS has chosen to broadcast Georgia's game against the Crimson Tide at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.
This will be Georgia's second game on CBS, with the previous one being a 31-14 win over Vanderbilt in Week 2. Georgia is coming off a 52-20 victory over South Carolina. Alabama fell to Mississippi 43-37 this past weekend.
The last time these two teams met occurred in the 2012 SEC Championship, a game Alabama won 32-28 in thrilling fashion. The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide have only played each other 10 times since 1985, with Alabama winning six of those games. Alabama holds a 37-25-4 all-time advantage in the series.
This Saturday, Alabama will host Louisiana-Monroe at 4 p.m. Georgia will welcome Southern to Sanford Stadium for a noon kickoff, which will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
Georgia has a career 46-33-1 record in games broadcast on CBS.
