Georgia fullback Christian Payne re-aggravated the leg injury he sustained during the preseason, head coach Mark Richt said on his Sunday teleconference.
Payne, a walk-on, cracked his left fibula during Georgia's first preseason scrimmage in August, which cost him the first game of the season against Louisiana-Monroe. Payne did play against both Vanderbilt and South Carolina, and has been wearing a wrap around his leg.
"I'm not exactly sure what that means yet," Richt said, in reference to a timetable for Payne's recovery.
Payne entered the preseason as Georgia's starter at the position and has recently been listed as a co-starter with Quayvon Hicks.
