It's finally official: Georgia's season opener against Clemson on Aug. 30 is set for 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.
The SEC announced the news on Friday, in conjunction with other early-season game time announcements. It was previously announced that the Georgia-South Carolina game on Sept. 13 would be at 3:30 p.m. on CBS, and the following week's Georgia-Troy game at noon on the SEC Network.
This is the second year of a home-and-home between Georgia and Clemson. Last year Clemson won 38-35 at Memorial Stadium.
Georgia reports that its all-time record on ESPN is 30-30-1.
Four of Georgia's game times have now been revealed. The game against Florida on Nov. 1 will also be on CBS and kick off at 3:30 p.m., as it has for more than a decade.
